The Information Services (IS) maintains a static subdirectory tree, the IS Data Repository, where products and data files are stored. The IS retrieves ancillary data files from the DRL or other remote locations and places them in this subdirectory.

The IS at Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) is configured to provide short-term special data services and fulfill auxiliary and ancillary data requirements beneficial to the global Direct Readout (DR) community. By default, the IS in fielded instances of IPOPP retrieves ancillary files from the DRL IS Repository.
